vss buffer / ecm bypass
Hello out there, I have a 91' bird with a pontiac 400 and turbo 350. The bird was originally a v6 car and the ecm is history obviously, my ? is how do I wire the vss buffer box to the instrument panel,, I haven't even looked up under there yet, I could be very self explanitory,, but I'm new to this and want to make sure I do it right the first time. All the harnesses are still there, and I just got the buffer and have the plugs for that, just need to know what wires I need to splice and to where?? any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

well I got up under there today, and I'm not sure what wires to splice the buffer box into,, see from what I understand the 91 - 92 6 cylinder cars have the buffer built into the ecm. And looking under there that must be true. That's why I got the other buffer box along with the plugs and all the wires,, the one plug has two wires, wich go to the vss on the trans,, that I got,, the other plug has five wires, (black/white) ground, (brown) inst. panel, (red) cruise, (brown) ecm, and (pink/black) gauge. What I need to know is which of these I need to wire in, and where to? I still have the two plugs hanging under the dash from my ecm, haven't cut them at all, hopefully someone can help. I got all the other gauges and tach to work great, all I'm lacking is the speedo, thanks to anyone who can help.
