Fuel Gauge Wiring
Okay, I have a 1990 Camaro Rs with a 350 carbed motor. The original owners stole the tbi 305, my poor rear louvers, and cut most of the harness.I am using the stock mechanical pump on the motor and cut the elec. fuel pump relay. Now I want to figure out how to have the fuel gauge working without the elec. fuel pump. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.
Ps: diagrams appreciated that make sense thanks.

If you still have the sending unit in the tank you will only need the pink wire going to the gage from the unit and a ground. The sending unit operates off of OHM resistance. No power source required.

Are the two wires for the gauge separate or go into a harness on the back of the instrument cluster. If in a harness what are the pin locations. Then does it go through the driver side floor to the back? Thanks alot after that I think I should be able to handle it thanks. I got my windsheild today from a firebird for $50 and my iroc-z hood for $20 with louvers from my local salvage yard was that a good price?

Hmm, my speedo and tach work until i turn on my interior lights and outside lamps.
We found a wire that was black with a yellow strip going to a relay with 2 yellow wires and a peach with a white stripe. Grounded the black and yellow now fuel, amp, oil, tach, and speedo work excellent even with lights on.
What is this relay? It's located behind the driverside kick panel closest to the floor?
