vats key resistor value

Is 9.5 ohms a reasonalbe value for the resistor in the key? I checked it today with a calibrated meter. No clue what the range of values used is.

You should have seen a little "K" to the right side of your meters screen. This would indicate that the value was 9500 OHM's and yes it is a reasonable resistance value. At the dealership it would be key code #14.

Thanks a ton. Another reason I need to find my meter or get a new one, friend was reading the meter. 9.5 just sounded way low.
