Car broke into, accesories not working
over a year ago my car was broken in to in a parking lot. from the surveilence video you can see that they poped the lock with a coat hanger.....they stole my CD player and my stereo system and im having problem with certain accressories...
I repaired the dammage to a couple wires in the stereo bay, and put the stock radio back in. since then many things do not work including:
power locks
stereo does not save memory
power antenna
interior and dome lights (gauges do light up)
horn
cigarette lighter
and the rear hatch button(will open with key)
i have checked all fuses and opened the door panels and checked for damaged wires but still no luck.....any advice

The memory on the stereo, is due to the fact that it has two power wires. One is connected to the power at all times and this is the one that saves the memory(in my case its the red wire). The other wire is the remote wire which is what turns the radio on and off with the car (in my case it's yellow). The main power wire is probably hooked up to an ignition power line that is only on with the car.
As for everything else, they are almost deffinately all on the same line. If the fuse is fine, than use a meter to make sure that you have power going through that fuse. Than just work your way down the line.

It will look like a plastic cylinder...maybe 1-1/2" long molded in-line on the + supply line...kinda looks like an in-line fuse holder, but you can't open it. The easiest way I know of is:
I took a few feet of insulated wire and soldered a needle on one end and an alligator clip to the other. I attach the alligator clip to a multimeter's + probe and I fasten the - probe to a solid ground. Use the needle to poke through the insulation on each side of the fusible link in question. If one side does not register power -- then it's blown. If both sides register power, that link is OK. If you get no power on either side, then the problem is somewhere "upstream" -- toward the battery.

Here's a schematic of the 1991 LO3 starting/charging circuit which includes the fusible links coming off the starter. My guess is that since the rear hatch popper gets its power from the ACC fuse, that one of the links here is responsible. Check into the link at the top which gives power to: LIGHT SWITCH, ACC FUSE & FOG LAMP FUSE.
