Fog Lights Wont Stay On
Did a search and found this a fairly common problem, especialy on 1990's. Fog lights work but the button has to be held in. In all the posts I couldnt find a clear solution to this problem though. Whats the answer?
Re: Fog Lights Wont Stay On
Whoa, old thread! Same here, have to hold the switch down in order for them to stay on (1990 firebird). Is the switch supposed to stay in a differnet (..on..) position or does it trigger something then pop back out (..off position)....did that make sense?

My bird does the same thing... the switch has already been replaced and the grounds were checked too. Its almost like the circuit gets too hot and shuts off. I have no idea what to do either....
Re: Fog Lights Wont Stay On
Got me a new switch (well used) on Ebay and now I have fog lights that stay on! Just for the record, there is an "on" and "off" position. The clicky thing on my old one must have broken that keeps it in the ON position.
Re: Fog Lights Wont Stay On
A quick flip and snap back together and all it well. I have foglights at the press of a button.
Again your post really saved me alot of aggravation...
Thanks again!!!

Re: Fog Lights Wont Stay On
My fog light switch was turning off too. I had to hold it in the on position.
I took the switch apart this spring to replace the red internal LED that had burned out. When I put the switch back together, it started working again.
The problem is obviously a mechanical issue with the workings of the switch, but I don't know exactly what I did to get it working again
