Blower motor won't shut off!! HELP!!
ok so i have a 1986 firebird 305 automatic ...anyways the other day im driving around and i notice that for some reason my blower motor won't shut off...no matter what position the switch is in...so i figure wtf i'll just shut the car off and the blower will shut off...but NO!
i shut the car off and the things still going.....
i havent had a chance to really check it out yet but i also don't know where to start...i had to go to work in my other car so i just left it and the thing killed my battery.....
any ideas ? i really don't know where to start and any help would be appreciated...ive messed with the ignition switch to see if thats not shutting off but to no avail
thanks
matt

I would start by unplugging the power to the blower motor (it's at the rear of the pass fender). Charge up the battery and get out the voltmeter. You will have to test some wires to see why it's got juice all the time. Crossed wire, bad switch, short, etc. Having a wiring diagram would be helpful if the problem isn't obvious.

Did the blower motor work fine before the CD install?
...and what did you use to test the wires? All you need to know is whether or not the wire is hot or not. A test light would also work.

If it worked fine before you installed your CD player, and now it doesn't, I think you screwed up some of the wiring installing it. Unwire it and see if it fixes your problem.
