hypertech chip
i have a chip for my car that came with it when i bought it its a hypertech and how do i install it. wheres the computer.

If you sit in the passenger seat, the computer is behind the dash, basically around the right half of your map pocket. Most people here will tell you not to use it as they don't do much. Also, I believe they reccomend a 160* thermostat if you don't have one.

Becuase:
1. If you have a stock car its just gonna dump more fuel into your engine.
2. If you have a modded car it won't be anywhere as good as a decent dyno tune.

so is it worth it....im runnin stock and lookin to get faster and had the chip just layin round so thought i would give it a shot.. but im not lookin for worse gas mileage and no change in performance.

Well you have one so give it a shot. I personally would never run one, especially with stock stuff, but I'm nowhere near a car expert.
