89 RS wiring problem(and then some)

Hello everybody. I just want to say that this is a very useful website. I have learned that I am a victim of VATS as well. At least I think so. But anyways, I just received an 89 camaro rs from my brother in law for free. It will not start but as I said I think that I have that figured out. My problem is that an aftermarket alarm was installed and i am trying to remove it. I pulled the horn system out of the engine compartment and cut the wires. I traced those into the passenger compartment and got rid of some of the wires. I was wondering where I could get a detailed wiring diagram for the car. I have a Chiltons manual and it is not very detailed. There are a few wires that connect with another group of wires under the dash of the drivers side of the car. I don't want to start cutting away and actually cut something vital. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you all for your time and expertise.

I was a victim of the VATS also, I replaced my vats module and it started again.
I wish I could help you on the wiring diagram for your car. all I can say is you can go to the library and find some really good manuels there for wiring diagrams, vacuum diagrams etc.
I just put a 89 5.0 tbi in my 85 that had a v-6 in it. I changed all the wiring from front to back. what a pain that was.

I'm just rambling on now.

But try the library.
