I have a new defrost button for the car, but the wiring to it was cut and used for some interior neon lighting. I just need to know what wires go to each terminal on the switch. I looked at the schematics, but it doesn't holp me on how and where to hook the wires up. Can someone help me out or send me a picture of it wired up?

I am getting so close to getting this thing back together and on the road. I't been in the garage getting a complete overhaul for over a year.

It is for the 1986 Z28.

 

Okay, there are five (5) wires for the defogger switch and they are as follows.

Pin "A" = gray wire to instrument panel for light.
Pin "B" = orange/black wire to power ACC circuit breaker thru connector C238 located under left kick panel.
Pin "C" = black wire to ground under dash near fuse panel.
Pin "D" = purple/white wire to left hatch lift strut thru connector C201 located under left rear compartment trim.
Pin "E" = pink/black wire to GAGES fuse in fuse panel.

 

Ok, I have all 5 wires. You stated pin a and so on. I have three prongs on one side and two on the other. Which one is which?
