Wiring Mini Starter

I bought a bowtie mini starter for my SPDC 360 crate and need help with the wiring.

Now before I even get into the starter terminals question, why would Painless Wiring supply two wires (Red and purple) with their MAF TPI harness that runs from the 165 ecm? I thought the starter was controlled by a purple wire (S Terminal on starter solenoid) that came from c100 bulkhead and the main red power feed wire that goes directly to the battery(B+ Terminal on starter solenoid). Which set of wires should I use?

The origional wires that came from the origional TBI camaro routed from bulkhead and battery?

Or should I use,

The 2 terminals supplied in the painless harness?

With that out of the way, The mini starter has (3) terminals. The instruction manual states the following:
a) Upper Terminal
b) Lower Terminal (NOTE: Black lead is already attached)
c) Spade Terminal

*Also note that Both upper and lower terminals are the same size unlike the stock starter.

How should I connect these? And what role those the alternator wiring play in this? Those it get attached on the B+ terminal as well?

I'm trying to finally get this project wrapped up this week. Any input would be helpfull.

Here is the Directions that came with the bowtie mini-starter: You can clearly see how the solonoid terminals are set up.

Just a guess- without looking at schematics and just listening to what the directions say-

Starter wire to the spade connection.
Everything else to the upper one.

That is what I was thinking. But why does it say for the lower terminal, "Black lead already attached." What would that lead do?

Also, any ideas about the painless situation explained above?

It does the same thing that it does on the stock starter. Since it is already attached why are you worried about it?

Lower terminal is negative side of the solenoid. The wire connects to the casing of the starter, which grounds to the engine.
