Alternator swap

Hi, I have an 89 Firebird V6. The alternator is pretty much shot. I also have an alternator off of another third gen car, the only problem is that it is a 350. Does this matter? Can I just swap on for the other, or is there different types. Any help would be appriciated.

as long as the new one is the same or higher output & it mounts up right it should be fine.
as far as i know all the thirdgens used the same type of alternator, some just had a higher output & there is also the different drive belt the later ones used, but you can swap the pulleys & maybe the spacer around if the other alternator used a different belt than what your car has.
