Trailer wiring from factory?
I was poking around the trunk of my vert, taking panels off to get the audio started, and I found was looks like a trailer wiring harness 4 wires and a connector at the end. The 4 wires all stuck together. I tried to take a pic but I am out of batteries.
Is this what it is?

I can't imagine its factory since they didn't come with trailor hitches and I've never seen it in any other bird/maro.

I got batteries for my camera. And took these pics. there is 2 plugs and 6 wires in total they all go to a black box in the drivers side corner of the trunk(convertible) as well as the wires for the taillights.

Yup, that sure looks like trailer wiring connector.
Did you test it to see if it works right? I'd sure love to see a Camaro tow something.

Doesn't surprise me. My TA had the wiring back there as well.
I've seen quite a few thirdgens with trailer hitches unfortunately.

That's Hilarious.
thanks for the input. My car doesn't have a hitch. But the wiring seems to be there? I think I zip tie it in a ball to clean up the rats nest behind that panel.

Will, did you check if there used to be a hitch connected/bolted/welded somewhere on the frame? Towing with a unibody never does any good to the car so I would make sure everything's all right. The wires aren't there just for fun, somebody towed with your car in the past, most likely.
