Blower fan Upgrade?

As most of you know, chevy did not design the best a/c system in the world. The a/c in my car is frigid, but the blower fan doesn't blow as hard as I would like it to. Is there any way to safely make the blower fan blow harder or is there another fan that would maybe interchange that will function better?
I am not talking about rigging anything, just upgrading.

im sure that this would be a complete trial and error project, im sure you could get something to fit, but what i dont know.... you COULD maybe find someway to lessen the resistance to the motor, which in-turn whould supply a higher amount of current to it.... if that doesnt work then some rewiring for the power may help.... im also interested in this... as alot of others prob are (summer is like hell in nj right now LOL)... anyone else wanna chime in??

Unless you've swapped in a new blower motor, the original is nearly twenty years old--that's a lot of revolutions. I put in a new motor and while it doesn't blow like a new car's, it does push considerably more air than the original did.

But then again, I have a 1970 Chevy C-10 and the blower fan on it is twice as hard as my third gen, and it is original and also 37 years old. I can't imagine if it blew harder than it does now back in 1970.
And sorry to say it but Fox body Mustangs have me spoiled with the fan. Stupid Fords.
