Wiper switch?
My wipers stopped the other day. I figured that my motor finally went out. I replaced the motor and still nothing. I also checked the 25amp fuse and it was good. That leaves the switch.
I have a non tilt wheel and I was wondering how difficult it is to replace the switch? Have any of you had to do this? Any heads up pointers would be appreciated.
The cruise control is disconnected. I have the wipers, cruise control, high beam, and blinkers all on the same armature.
Thanks!

just give the lever a good tug and it will pop right out but there will be a cord going all the way down to the bottom of the steering cloum (for the cruise control) and I've never unplugged it so thats all I can help you with.

I have a similar problem that requires changing my switch...my washer pump runs continuously when the wipers are on and I believe it's the switch. Any more help on how to replace this switch would be helpful...thank you

1bad86,
What do you mean, pull it out? Wouldn't that only remove the armature and not the whole switch?
I was looking at it last night and figured that I would have to disconnect the cable plug first. Then I would have to take the steering wheel off. I would then have to figure out how to get the collar around the steering column off. After that I would have to unhook the switch from the column and pull it out with the cable connector.
It looks like I would then fish the new cable connector down the steering column and connect the new switch back up.
I would be concerned that just pulling the armature straight out would break it or remove it from the black casing/switch.
I could be totally off base on this.
Please let me know what you mean by just pulling it out. Will the whole switch come out with the armature?
Thanks again for your help!
