oil pressure\fp switch help?

hey everyone, looking through the site about 4 weeks now, its like a survival guide!!! very kool, well hate to start off like this but here goes. 92 rs originally 305 tbi, swap 383 carburated,using tbi pump in tank, i get 2sec prime key on, but no pump in run/or after prime? well all the great info you guys put out and schems/ car computer dissconnected,didnt want to hack it !! just yet!!! so no comp no ing reffrence that should ,report to b2 and setting off code 54 right? understandable,now i know how you can pull op\fp connector off and most of yours still run!! but if my op\fp switch is open{i did use sender from orig 305} the circuit should not complete or im i reading these schems wrong??? so my question to you cani test this switch with any accuraccy or pay the dealer, no one stocks them, acdelco does, just would like to make sure!!! you know the nickel dime thing, 200 hundred trips to autozone , everything works other wise! oh one more stupid Q hei has accell coil in cap with grounding strap, i dont remember any gm hei having a ground wire hook to them, just hot and tach? does it just float or is it tied in with 3 wire connector from dizzy? it ran with out it but i didnt run it long, enough to time it, thanks again in advaced, not trying to start the great fuelpump debate again ive seen them get ugly he he he,just trying to save a few bucks on the next part!!!
