is this the thing you are referring to?

i dont see anything like that on there. closest thing to that is the one for the heater/coolant that lays on the pass side valve cover.

sorry for the crappy PS, but heres an excellent pics i found on the boards(thanks rv1890)
both wires come from this loom #1. they are laying in the area of the top of the water pump #2. not much slack in them either, so they have to go in that general area but cant find anything? if #3 is the air deverter, i dont have anything like that on my car. and no loose or plugged hoses. the closest thing is #4.
ill work on gettin pics of my own application in stead of the drawing to give you guys a better idea. but if someone knows what im talking about here, please let me kno! Thanks, Mike

Yes, that first pic you posted is the AIR diverter valve and if the last pics you posted are of YOUR engine bay, then no you don't have one.
It does look like you still have the AIR pump (the accessory pulley below the AC compressor). There would be a metal pipe from the pump up to the diverter valve, and the valve would have one hose going to the catalytic converter, and another hose going to the AIR injection tubes on the exhaust manifolds.
I have a feeling you're going to say that you don't have any of those other things (including a catalytic converter) either. In which case it looks like someone removed that whole system, except for the pump which was needed simply as another pulley for the serpentine belt to ride on.
Which may or may not lead you to ask how to get rid of that useless pump that's robbing a little bit of horsepower from you. So here's a pic of the smog delete pulley...
Just tuck those wires away some place out of sight. You don't need 'em.

yea, theres no cat and no air tubes on the exhaust manifolds. it doesnt look like there were any to begin with either? the manifolds look clean, no broken air tubes.

It's pretty common to advise people to get exhaust manifolds that don't have the AIR tube bungs in them in the first place, rather than plug the bungs with pipe plugs. As you said, it looks much cleaner that way.
