BIG problem car misfiring
i went to replace my clutch a few days ago but only got about halfway done and didnt feel comfortable doing it so i put it all back together.
i was told to remove the distributor cap and wires because removing the tranny removes rear force of the engine and it tils forward causing the distributor to hit the firewall.
i removed both the cap and wires and put it back together as perfect as i could get it. i have checked my wiring 1000 times and its right. when i start the car it mises terribly and makes a popping sounds after about 5 seconds. just now i started it up and let it run for about 15 seconds and fire burst out of the throttle body.
wtf happened???
i have a guy comming tomorrow to look at the car and another on monday. i need help asap.
thanks guys.

It sounds as though the firing order is still screwed up. Also check the rotor for damage as well as inside the cap. Get #1 plug up on the compression stroke & pull the dist cap - the rotor will be pointing to #1. Wire the cap with the proper firing order & direction from there.
Post back if you still have problems.
