fourth gen security sys?

has anyone tried or put in an factory alarm from a newer camaro or firebird. would it be worth while to try and fiind one or a lost cause?

I had thought about it quite a bit myself. I came to the conclusion that it would be more work than needed, and didn't have as much options that a aftermarket alarm would have. Plus with an aftermarket they give you a seperate horn to scram wrong doers, which comes in handy if you have no horn like myself. well, i have a horn, its just not hooked up, so it still doesnt count.

well im not really looking for many options, just mainly lock, unlock and an alarm set. plus my horn works so i think im gonna keep an eye out for a keyless entry/alarm from a 4th gen.
