crazy coolant temp tpi HELP!!

at cold start engine runs for approx 5-15secs and dies on 87 tpi. checked the "9th" injector on pass side with noid, light comes and and car wont run at all until plugged back in. upon further inspection noticed on mt2500 scanner that start up temp was at 200 F and air temp was only 38 f. Obviously cts not reading correctly. perform test, remove connector and watch scanner. temp changes but not to full hot. then jumper yellow to black at cts and should be -40 f but only drops to 114 f. I checked all power and ground at ecu and ck for short to ground and resistance on both the yellow and black wires and no prob found . cts is reading all different numbers but not the value that they should be. ofcourse no ses light either, it does come on and go out at key so assuming its working correctly and before unplugging sensor no codes present. POSSIBLE ECU FAILURE? I cant figure the darn thing out.
