steering column wiring harness

does anybody know where I can get a new steering column wiring harness for a 87 gta? I tried part stores and they don't have them. I don't want to buy an over priced one from a dealership. Thanks for your help

are you talking about the wiring that is in the steering column or the wiring that hooks up to the steering column?
if your talking about whats in the column, that comes with the switches.
for the car side of the harness, a wrecking yard would probably be the best bet.

I was talking about the wiring inside of the column. I checked with local junk yards today and there was nothing to be found. So I guess I will keep looking.

that part of the harness is part of the switches, so you need new switches to get that part of the harness, turn signal switch, wiper switch, & if you have it, the cruise control switch will have what you need. i would buy new, with junk yard switches, you don't know what your getting.

Re: steering column wiring harness

Agreed Go to your local advance and ask for a turn signal switch and a cruise switch. and you will have all the wiring coming out of a nonVATS steering wheel.
