I have an 87 Iroc-z z28, and there is a bought a bijillion wires that come from somewhere but lead to nowhere. I've tested most of them, and many are still good. However, I still have no Idea where they are coming from. I am at best avoiding taking the dash off, so I was wondering if anyone had a recomended manual of the wiring system of my car, or an alternate solution of how to clean it up.

 

Can you take a picture so we can see what you are talking about? That would help a lot.

 

year one has some manuals and you can get a wiring diagram from GM
i had the some problem with stereo wires my speaker wires would just quit and my deck lost power completely and i got a diagram from GM in the mail, just call a dealer or an auto parts store.

 

pics and wire colors and location of them in the car would be what we need

The Haynes Automotive Manuals has a complete wiring grid of the whole car. Magnifying glass and patience is required but it will show you anything about everything. Unless someone has added a few here or there. I would suggest looking there first.
