new starter wrong one?

new starter wrong one?

i bought a new starter and its got 3 terminals,where as my old one only had 2 so which one do i hook my purple wire to? the one that says "r" or "s" i know where the main wires hook up.thanks

hook it to the "s" one. that's the switch. the other is remote, you don't need it.
