engine re-fire after 1st start up
engine re-fire after 1st start up
Please advise what to do next? Engine will not restart after the initial start without waiting for a ½ hour or longer. Diagnosed the ignition key/column switch, replaced lock and keys, did not fix problem. Where or what would be the next to replace? VATS module, ignition module, relay, I am not sure. I can get the engine to refire with starting fluid, but that is not the answer. Thank you!
Re: engine re-fire after 1st start up
OK how about this. If the VATS is bad will it allow the engine to crank with spark and normal dash light with NO signal going to the fuel injectors? If the vats is good can the ignition control module cause the same problem of engine cranking but not starting. Remember this happens after the first start up. I can use starting fluid to help re-fire the engine. Also I have r/r the ignition lock switch with new keys and the same problem is still here.
