One touch power windows

I've gotten a little spoiled driving my wife's 06 Chevy truck with the one touch power down windows. Wondering if anyone has done this mod and if so is there a relay to wire in or should I get window motors out of a Chevy truck?

Re: One touch power windows

Nah, too much work..
It is however possible to do. In addition to the switch, it only requires one relay, two diodes, and one end limit switch (with a self fabb'ed bracked). Double this for a one touch up function too.
If you want to do w/o the end limit switch, you'll have to make a current sensing circuit instead. I suspect this is how it's done in production cars but I have no info on it

Re: One touch power windows

i wish there was a nice simple way to do it... I too am used to it. Mainly because my truck (88' Chevy) the window button i would just press and it would get stuck... So go all the way down then when it got down it would kick off... Same with the way back up.

Re: One touch power windows

My alarm has the same feature, however, if the ground or power to that module goes bad, the windows will not work. Happened once or twice when working under the dash an knocked connection loose...

Re: One touch power windows

Use the express down module from a 4th gen. Heres the diagram for a 1995.

You could always hit up a stealership. But, I dont see why Autozone orsomething, would have them.

There is! Google or ebay search DEI 530T. Its a current sensing unit. I installed this in my car a couple years ago, works perfect. Auto up and down on both windows. Install is a breeze, especially with our window switches in the centre console instead of the doors.

edit: Heres the thread on TGO with the wiring diagram you'll need for installation:

CLICK

if the link doesn't work just search for DEI 530T on here and its the first topic

So you completed the install in the console itself?

Re: One touch power windows

looking at the diagram the other night everything you need is right there in the console.

It's nothing more then tie in before and after the switch's.

Re: One touch power windows

Where did you place the module itself, at the rear, front, or side of the shifter? Any problems or is installation straightforward? Advice?
