What is this on my dash
Can anyone tell me what this is on my dash (92' bird)
Re: What is this on my dash
That looks like the light that is supposed to shine down on the AC and heater controls. It's been a while since I had my dash apart, so my memory is a bit fuzzy....

That's a light sensor for the automatic headlamp system that comes with the daytime running lights... It's a photocell that detects how much light is present...
This sensor is only found in Canadian Third Gens built between 1990 and 1992. There is a small hole on the dash pad near the passenger side A pillar that the sensor mounts under.
If your DRL system is working, then your headlights will go on automatically when it gets dark and turn off automatically when it gets light. You don't need to touch the headlight switch.....
