Starter Issue
I have a 1987 Formula with the LG4. I just put in a new starter from Advance Auto the palladium brand. When I first went to start it up after I had installed the starter it kept cranking and would not stop with the key. I had to disconnect the battery. I then switched the wires on the starter. That solved it but now every so often the starter will keep cranking after I shut off the key. If i mess with the key a bit it will stop. Is it the starter or could it be the ignition switch? Any other ideas? Also, would a Corvette starter fit the LG4, 305 block? Thank you.

Re: Starter Issue
This happened to me before. Just replace the starter it's defective. double check the wiring also and make sure you have no bare spots too. make sure your hooking up the small wires to the "S" terminal on the starter. Most parts from the 350 and 305 are interchangable.. most but not all. why do you want to put a vette starter on it??

Re: Starter Issue
Thanks for the reply. Take a look at the thread below for the pros of putting on the Corvette starter. Even though I got a lifetime warranty with the Advance Auto starter I am going to go with the 92-96 Corvette starter.
