Replacement Headlights

My headlights are getting all rusty on the inside so I think it is time to replace them as they don't look well. Do I have to go for OEM or are there good aftermarket headlights out there, if so can anyone recommend a place to get them.

Gerry.

Re: Replacement Headlights

I use Silverstars. Nice and extra bright. Made by Sylvania I think. They look and fit like the old ones but are much brighter and have a different color light.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know where you got them so I can order a set.

Thanks.

Re: Replacement Headlights

I purchased them at a local store, but I did a quick search and found that Autozone.com sells them. The part number for mine is H4666ST. It may be the same for you, maybe not. Definately check for the correct part and if they will ship to you. Also, they are Sylvania bulbs.

Re: Replacement Headlights

I check a site that sells headlamps and I found that H4666 fits the 91-92 Firebirds only and H6054 fits 83-90 Firebirds. H4666 and H6054 are the style of the headlight. It doesn't say anything about 82 I was wondering does anyone know if 82 Firebird takes a H6054 style headlight.

Gerry.

Did you need to get a coversion kit to fit them or did they just slot right in.

On a camaro its a direct replacement, go to your local autoparts store autozone, pepboys and have them look it up for you and then your set.

Re: Replacement Headlights

H6054ST is what is listed on the Sylvania site for a 1982 Firebird. That should be the correct part for you. ST in the number stands for Silverstar.
