what should this ground connect to?
I was pulling apart the dash to have a look at the ECM (trying to sort out why it's running really rich, some posts had suggested the ECM cradle or ground), and I found this ground had been cut? (middle of pic) hopefully the cruise control module (believe that's the black thing) hanging down and the 'glove-box' there give an idea of where in the car this is.
No idea what it's meant to ground out. There was what looked like a piezo screamer from the previous alarm system disconnected there, I don't know if this might have been from that, but it kind of looks factory.

There's also this cable-thing under the passenger dash, any takers on what that is? Picture is upside down as I was lying on my back.

Thw wire could be for a Power antenna. It could also be for an aftermarlet connection. As far as the cable,....... That's the Cold/Hot cable from the heater controls "air temp" lever.

Thanks John
Pretty sure the ground is factory, as goes through a little hole in the metal that you wouldn't bother cutting for something aftermarket. Could be the power antenna, which is right near by, but the antenna has always worked fine.
Hmm I did think my heater/air con were working fine... seemed to be able to get hot when I wanted it and cold when I wanted it, oh well will have to have another look at that.
