Blue light under dash pad?

Blue light under dash pad?
I took off my dash pad to take a peek and there was what looked like a small blue light? It watched up to a small circular depression on the dash pad. What the heck is it?

Previous owner installed a blue light for an alarm light? I've never seen a blue light under any of my 3rd gens, and I've had the dash pad taken off every one.

I have something similar in the center of my dash as well. I could never figure it out. Its in the center of the dash on the dash pad ledge facing down. It looks like some sort off light. I had it all 4 of the Camaro's Ive owned. Two 87's and two 92's.

No, this is different... it's not on the front edge of the dash, it's farther in and matches up with a circular depression on the top of the dash pad. Will take a pic next time I have it off. I was thinking it may have to do with the daytime running lights?

i thought our canadian brothers got DRL back in the day??? I know all new cars do now but i thought they did back then as well. Just a thought. Is this under the dash lip or above the dash lip like ontop of the dash pad??? Could you be speaking of the light for the shifter area? I know some camaros got equiped with a light (not sure of color) that lit up the shifter, radio, and HVAC controls. Not sure just trying to help.
