where is the turn signal flasher on my 1988 GTA ?

Where is the turn signal flasher on my 1988 GTA ? someone said that could be the problem with my turns not working. Is it in the area above my convenience center inside the dash as mentioned on this forum? There are TWO of these in there ? One is for the turns and one is for the emergency flashers ? Where do I buy a replacement ?... autozone, etc ? Does anyone have a PHOTO of the turn signal flasher ?

** symptom**: no turn signals. when I move the signal lever up and down manually they will light, but no flash thats it.

thanks

It does seem like the flasher. It's a small circle metal can thing that hangs under the driver side of the dash. You can get it at any auto parts store.

I would check your bulbs too. If one of your lights is out, the other one will light steadily, and your turn signal indicator on your dash will light steadily as well. No flashing, just illumination. Also could be the flasher.
