Each time I turn on my headlights I blow the interior light fuse. Any ideas where to start. Thanks!!

 

Start tracing wires, you have a knicked wire grounding out. I would start at the headlights and work my way back to the switch

 

I would first check the cig. lighter.
Have you recently installed a new radio?If you have,recheck your stereo wiring!

 

yea if you accidentally grounded out the illumination wire of your cig lighter (rare on most models) or stereo that will blow everytime you turn on your headlights.

 

Okay cig lighter may be the issue but would it still work if it did ground? I plugged in my cell phone charger to it and it worked so is that still a feasible cause??? I have been tracing wires and half the dash is torn apart and no signs of a ground power wire. Let me know what you guys think if the cig lighter would cause this and still work. Thanks a bunch

 

does the fuse only pop when you turn the headlights on,or does it also pop when you turn the parking lights on.

 

the fuse pops as soon as you turn on the parking lamps

 

Pull the lamps, turn the switch on, and see what happens?

 

BTW I have not performed any stereo mods or installed a new stereo, this problem happened "all of a sudden".

 

Found the problem!!! I had a rodent guest who decided to infiltrate my console and build himself a nest out of my stereo wires. But I fixed it today, Thanks for the great ideas and direction!!
