toggle switch help
how do you hook up a toggle switch with 3 pronges? also can i ground out the leds im installing to the ground on the switch? thanks

It depends what you need the switch to do.
The middle terminal is usually the common lead (B), an throwing the switch
up or down makes a path to either middle pole (B) to pole (A), or middle pole
(B) to pole (C).
As for the LED's, explain more about what you want them to do, and I
can draw up a diagram to wire the switch with the LEDs.

That' s not difficult at all.
The middle pole will be the voltage source, and then either outer pole
will have a diode connected to ground.
The cathode goes to ground, the anode will connect to the the switch
poles.
What other function is the switch going to produce besides lighting up
diodes? What are you controlling?

Or you can do it the other way around and ground the LED's first and then branch a grounding wire over to the switch.
Or if the LED's are far away from the switch, ground them separately to save a long ground wire.
