HEI to small cap dist wiring ???

HEI to small cap dist wiring ???
Been 20 yrs since I worked on a remote coil setup and never on a 3rd Gen type
Doing small cap for HSR conversion.
Did a search and came up with some comprehensive info like " " hack up the coil connectors and reroute the tach wire.
Have 4 wire small cap to HEI adapter for ECM control.
Have small cap plug / pigtail (pink / white ) to coil
Original HEI wiring has switched 12V feed ( pink ) and white tacho wires.
Am I correct in assuming that the the two pinks (12V and coil ) go to one side of the coil and the two whites (coil and tach ) to the other?
