TTT
Don`t know if this is related but the night before I noticed this my ignition cylinder messed up.The thing you stick your key in thats made of that cheap pot metal or someting, just fell off.I can still start the car but now I have the above problem.I`m planning on changing that when advanced gets the steering wheel puller in.I also found a solid grey wire rinning down the bottom of the steering column but I cant find what it connects to.Antbody got anything.

Could be the turn signal switch, could be the big plug at the bottom of the column is disconnected.
Sounds like overall, it's time to pull the steering wheel and the lock plate. You can "rent" tools for both of those things at AutoZone and Advance and such. I highly recommend picking up both of them. You'll definitely be needing them.
Brake lights work?

Re: turn signal/hazard proble
Thanks for the reply. The first thing I checked was the rear lights.Brakes and all still work.I will not step foot in the autozone in my city again.I`d rather stick hot needles in my eyes.Someone rented and didnt return the ones at advance,so since they are inexpensive and I have other older chevys,I might as well buy them.
What does the turn signal switch or plug look like?Do you know what color it is?I`m begining to wonder if some kid was trying to steal my car.I`ve never noticed these wires disconnected. Then the ignition cylinder is broken. Then I noticed someone got my cig lighter hot,put it on the console twice and burned it.The cig lighter was brand new(just replaced it).Now it doesnt work at all.Of corse my kid doesnt know anything about it.Anyway, gonna see if I can find the wire colors in my chilton, and recheck the wires to my cig lighter.
