Gage cluster problem....advise needed ASAP

I am thinking about buying a 89 camaro RS...the problem witht the car is that the speedometer on the car its not working...I dont know how big of a problem that is and dont know how fixable it is...
Maybe gage cluster is broken or something.... is not wired right or something on the engine is messed up...Please help me out with some advise...

The fuel meter seems to be working and the temp gage seems to be working, I dont thing the milage on it is right...because It not rotating either...

The car seems to run great though when i test drove it...pretty clean engine and "reads" 80K miles (but like i said ...the thing isnt working so i am sure its more

when you test drove it did it show how fast you were going m/h if it did probably the odometer inside the cluster its broken and you need to replace the cluster or fix the odometer if speed wasnt shown speed needle didnt move from 0 miles while you test drove it then the problem its the speedometer cable being broken or disconected in which case it needs to be replaced or reconected check for either or and fix accordingly as for it being only 80000 miles i really doubth it since odometer its not rolling since who knows when

when I test drove it...the odometer didnt rotate at all...so I know its not working...the speedometer stayed at 0 the whole time...
the fuel level was right at the middle (hard to tell if its working or not...same for the temp level
The one thing that was working for sure was (the one that goes from 0-8 or 0-6) dont know the name for it

One link above describes reasons for mechanical speedo malfunction, the other how to repair the trip. Did you read those?

So what you are saying is that there is something wrong with the gage cluster for sure? and that the only thing wrong...i mean...is it possible that something on the engine is messed up or tranny
