AC/Heater Controller

The car is a 88 GTA with digital instrumentation, the blower is not blowing. When I push the button for whatever setting (ex. htr/def) the orange light shows the setting but for the fan control there is no light (ex. low/high). What is the possible problem or where should I start?

Re: AC/Heater Controller

Check Blower motor 1st, pop hood, unplug blower hot wire, check it for 12v+ when on, with wire still unpluged, apply 12v+ from battery directly to motor, if it runs it is not the motor brushes. Usually on older cars brushes go out on electric motors & need replaced, I had to do my 88 recently, hope this helps.

PS I am looking for Ac/Heater controls [push button digital] if you have or know someone who does please let me know.

Re: AC/Heater Controller

I have an 88 GTA with the digital control also... trying to figure out why the HIGH setting does not work now that the AC is repaired... it will not blow on high or low but it will on the setting in between. Does my AC control need to be replaced or what else could it be ?
