Well, there is a good ole boy way to check the starter.
But first: Does it just click, or does it just sit there silently? If it dosen't even click, check your battery volts. If it's weak, it may not even try to turn the starter, but still give ya some juice for the stuff in the interior. If the battery is good, it could be the ignition switch not making proper contact.
If it does click, it may be the starter. Quick way to "check" it is to pop it with a hammer while someone is trying to crank the vehicle. If there is a dead spot on the armature coil, that'll usually jolt it enough to start. If you wanna actually have it tested though, take it off, and take it to Autozone, and they can test it for free. (There is a way to do it at home, but it can be tedious. It's safer to let Autozone do it. They have the equipment at the ready.)
But first and foremost, check the fuses. No need to go through all that if it's just a fuse.
Start there and let me know. If anyone wants to add, by all means do.

if the battery is low enough it will still let your lights and radio and everything work but it wont let the starter turn and start your car. try putting it with another car and see if jumping it works. if that dont work, then try tapping on your starter with a hammer while somebody else starts the car. if that dont work try checking out your ignition. if that dont work than i dont know what to tell you.
