My mechanic is making a big deal on the ninth injector on my 1987 305 TPI because the 350 TPI off a 1989 Corvette engine doesn't have it.

If I'm using the 1987's wire harness with the 1989 computer is there any need for the ninth injector?

My mechanic is saying my check engine light will stay on. What do you guys think?

 

drove mine for 4 years no issues. it will be fine!

 

So the ninth injector coming from the wire harness is just not gonna be in use?

 

nope just leave the plug hangin, will not affect performance nor will an SES light come on......
