Re: new engine need help wiring up

The frst one looks like it goes to the brake master cyl or proportioning valve. The second if it is on the drivers side could be the temp sender for the gauge.

Is the sensor messed up or the connector? You can pur a regular crimp connector and use a nut to hol it on.

Its the connector, the sensor is still brand new i replaced it instead of taking it off the old engine. so you say i can crimp it on ?

No, use a solderless crimp connector. They sell packs of them almost everywhere. Like these:

Re: new engine need help wiring up

One is the Knock sensor (blue wire) on the low passenger side of block the other is for the fan temp sensor which is in the water jacket above the knock sensor on the passenger side. (same type of connector) There is also a temp sensor by the thermostat housing and on between #1 and#3 spark plugs. YOur local Napa store will have a new connector you can splice in for the broken one.
