No Front Turn Signals?
The driving lights on the front of my car are not functioning as turn signals when I turn the signals on. All the other ones (side markers, ones in tailights) are working. I know the bulbs in them are good. What could be wrong?

Re: No Front Turn Signals?
You can take a test light or voltmeter and probe the light blue and dark blue wires on the front park lamp sockets (easily accessible from underneath) to check for voltage.
You can also drop the driver side knee panel and probe the flat connector on the bottom of the steering column (once you drop the knee panel, the connector is right there, in plain sight). Again, the light blue and dark blue wires, those are for the front signals. (picture of connector here)
If the front signals flash with hazards, I'd suspect the turn signal switch in the steering column. If they don't flash, I'd suspect the wiring or sockets.
Let us know what you find.

They don't come on when the hazzards are turned on either. When I check those wires for power, do the turn signals need to be turned on, or does the key have to be forward or anything like that?

You don't need the key at all. Just turn on the hazards and go probe the front wires by the sockets. If no voltage there, it's a wiring problem.
It's strange, though, that both front signals are out.
Can you give us a little history? What happend just prior to this malfunction? Any shorts? Blown fuses? Any repairs?

Re: No Front Turn Signals?
Well I don't really know how but I just got the front turn signals working now, just played around with the bulbs for a little bit. However I have found another problem. All the turn signals light up and flash as they should, but when I turn the hazzards on the lights flash very fast, and are so dim that they almost cant even be seen. What could this be?

Great. Glad you got it working. Check the sockets for heavy oxidation, you might even want to replace them with new ones (for a few dollars at your local car parts store).
If your hazards flash too fast, you might have the wrong flasher installed. The hazards use a separate flasher from the regular turn signals. It is located in the convenience center.
Hope this helpls.

Re: No Front Turn Signals?
I'll check into the flasher, but I don't undestand the problems at all. The front driving lights always came on with the headlights and the hazzards always flashed like they are supposed to. Now I noticed that after getting the front turn signals fixed, not only do the hazzards not work right, but the driving lights don't even come on with the lights now. I don't understand how these two new problems happened as soon as I got the front signals working. Any ideas on the new problem?

Re: No Front Turn Signals?
By driving lights you mean the park lamps? They share the same socket with the turn signals so it sounds like a socket connection.

Re: No Front Turn Signals?
The turn signals in my 85 Firebird didn't work when i got it and i found this section in the wires under the dash for a tube type fuse that was missing. You could look for that, I do believe it's on an orange wire, could be pink.
