dry battery cell?

So for the last week every day it seemed that my car had less and less power to start it. I thought maybe something was slowly draining my battery but ive had it for three months and have not changed anything electrical wise in it. Today will washing the car I popped the battery covers off and the hole on the far left side(negative) was empty no water so I filled it then put the caps on and pulled the battery to check for cracks.
I found nothing wrong.

What could be causing this? I drive with no hood because mine was trashed.

Re: dry battery cell?

That's normal for a non sealed battery.
You're supposed to check the water levels periodically.

Be sure to use distilled water, too when filling.

Re: dry battery cell?

i'd take it back under a warranty if you had one. you may be better off to get a sealed battery if you are driving 'nekkid' lol. suggestion: get one of the sears diehard platinum batteries.. awesome power and made differently than any of their other batteries.
