Wiper Switch, Dimmer Switch, NO CLICKS
Wiper Switch, Dimmer Switch, NO CLICKS
This is on my '87 GTA, with tilt/cruise/intermittent wipers. It came to me with a broken turn signal lever, and the ubiquitous loose column pivot.
I've gone in and tightened/loctited the pivot bolts, and aseembled everything on my way out.
I have another turn signal switch lever, and it seems to snap into place properly, but the wiper control (twisting) and dimmer control function (forward/back) are kinda limp, with no clicking or positive feel between settings.
Did I miss some linkages or springs?
Any one have a scehmatic drawing for the tilt column area?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Re: Wiper Switch, Dimmer Switch, NO CLICKS
The headlight dimmer (Hi/Lo switch) works only by pulling on the stalk.
If it's out of adjustment, it won't actuate the switch.
Adjustment article here: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=16
Hope this helps.
