high beam switch feeling different

I noticed when I was driving home last night when I turned my brights on, the switch felt different. I had to pull it in hard before I heard the click to go from low beam to high beam. The brights and dims worked, but the lights went out briefly when I did it once or twice.. Anybody have any suggestions?

The dimmer switch located on top of the column is either going bad or is out of adjustment. Drop the column and it's easily accessible. A new switch is only about $15 bucks so it's worth replacing while you're in there.

I'll drop the column and have a look. I haven't been using the darn thing though. Gotta figure out how to remove the column..

Remove the trim piece directly below the column. There are two nuts (can't remember the size, wanna say 5/8) holding the column in place. Remove them and it will droop down enough for you to access the dimmer switch.

Thanks Jr. I will tend to it in short order. I freaked when my headlights went out briefly. I wouldn't have made it home. I switched it on and off about 10 times and it cut out only twice.
