Positive battery cable question.

Positive battery cable question.
What is the black "bulb" that branches off of the positive battery cable for? It has 20 written on it. I broke off the wire at the base of the bulb, and GM no longer sells the positive battery cable. Thanks for any and all help!!

Yes there is a fuse there 20 amps.
You can attach an additional fused wire to the battery using a ring terminal.
