Alternator Stops Charging at 3500 RPM
Volt gauge in dash shows a drop to basically zero volts (quickly) when revving motor (more so under load) at approx 3500 RPM.
For instance: Constant, smooth acceleration in second gear; as soon as you get to the magical RPM the volt gauge drops to zero, as soon as you let of the gas and the RPM falls the volts jump back up to 14ish.
I have not verified with a multimeter but besides a belt slipping (which is unlikely), can anything internally in the alt cause such symptoms?

Meter Meter On The Dash
Your voltmeter is lying.
The voltage is not going to zero.
Something in the voltmeter circuit is not connected properly or shorting.
You can open the dash and go over the connections.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
When you see fog lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead. Right grandma?
How bout those nervous nellies too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime or if there is a little rain!

Re: Meter Meter On The Dash
Thanks for the response...fully knowing my volt gauge would not go to zero when the alt merely stops charging I can't believe I even posted that.
I may be mistaken...the gauge may not go to zero but the results are perfectly repeatable. I need to get my shiot straight before I come a postin' obviously but if anyone has any insight I'm more than happy to listen
