Cool footwell light idea for an rs camaro!!!

you know how the iroc-z's have those neat footwell courtesy lights? well the '92 rs (like all of the rs's i think) does not have this feature, and i want to add it. it has the holes for the lights, but there is nothing there. i want to also install a switch by the driver seat that can turn them on at any time, in addition to them coming on with the doors opening. i think it would be cool driving down the road with the red carpet illuminated by my feet.

i'm not very savy with electronics and wiring, can this be done? and how?

Sure it can be done easily. Now as far as the electrical end of things go thats the easy part the more interesting part is how you would want to install this system. Typically what the facotry does is one of 2 things either has a lense covering a light or 2 has an open hole thats out of sight so it doesnt need a lense. Next why you need to decide is do you want just one light or some sort of array of lights? High intensity leds or incandescent bulbs? Wiring it is easy once you have a basic idea of how it would be done in mind. Think it over and let us know so we can come up with some sort of a plan.
