Best 12v Source To Add Accessories

Hi everybody,
I'm gonna be adding a few aftermarket gauges to my car soon and I'm not to familiar with auto wiring. I did a little searching and didn't really find what I was looking for. What is the best (safest I guess) source to tap and where is the best place to tap it?
Thanks
Alex

The front of the fuse block... There should be a couple empty spots labeled BAT for 12v constant and ACC for 12v switched.

So I can just stick a spade terminal in there and an inline fuse on the wire? SWEET!
Thanks man!

Re: Best 12v Source To Add Accessories

Figured i'd add to this instead of making another thread.

I already got 3 aftermarket gauges and a shift light running off of the fuse panel via spade terminals. However i've adding nitrous, controler and wideband. AND all 3 solenoids that require 12v keyed.

Where is the heaviest gauge wire that is a keyed 12v? What color is it?

Thanks

Re: Best 12v Source To Add Accessories

I've got another question sort of similar to the previous Q by 89rocz. I'd like to add an aftermarket clock to my center console (same location as the factory option clock) and it has a backlight that should only turn on with the lights, where would I hook it up to do that?
Thanks
Alex

Draw 12v from the brown dash wire. Confirm its lights 12v with a testlight or multimeter. Easy places to find it are the HVAC headunit and radio
