Drivers side power window...

Well I searched around and I think I probably have a switch problem but I am not sure. The drivers side power window just stopped working the other day. The strange thing about it was the fact that the passenger side was the slow window (tracks must be really dirty) and the drivers side seemed to function perfectly with no signs of drawing extra current. The pass side still functions however...

Any ideas? Not looking forward to taking the door apart and would like to avoid it.

Thanks!

Using a voltmeter or see if you get power on the left window switch pin A (brown wire) when you press the in the down mode.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards

When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.

How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain

Re: Drivers side power window...

I went through this on the driver's side with the same thoughts. Check to see if you are getting power, of course, but if the motor has never been replaced or is older, for $18 replacement part from NAPA it worth the change out. Likely old age motor overloading. Getting the door panel off is the easy part, the rest has to be done slowly and carefully, but not complicated.
