need help with auto meter gauge set up!!

Engine: ls 5.3 carb
Transmission: t56 six speed
Axle/Gears: 3:73
need help with auto meter gauge set up!!
Hey guys, can someone give me some advise on setting up my auto meter gauges? i was wondering if i should hook up the wires to the existing gauge panel, or if i should cut the harness and hook all the wires up separately? I was thinking if i run the wires to the panel all i would have to do is plug the two harness back in to the back of the panel and it should work?ill try and get some pics up so you can see what i mean, any advise would be great.

Not sure what the 'best' way to do it is, but I cut the harness when I wired the Autometers.
