My blower motor works intermittently...

First let me state that I'm kind of a dummy with electronic, so go easy on me.

My blower motor goes on and off intermittently, so I'm thinking I've got a loose connection somewhere. It might be working just fine, (all speeds), and then I hit a bump or something and it stops blowing. I was convinced,(psuedo-long story), that the connector that plugs into the motor itself was bad so I cut it off and spliced a new connection. I've replaced the blower motor itself, I've checked the relays and they look good, (not burned up), so what's loose?

Re: My blower motor works intermittently...

there should be a ground wire near the heater hoses at the firewall and one from the engine to the firewall.

Re: My blower motor works intermittently...

i just went through a hassle with blower motor . i understand your frustration . power runs from fuse panel to htr./AC control panel . its a brown wire with gray disconnect directly behind control panel . the disconnect had become corroded and no longer let current pass to control panel switch . could be your problem also . good luck .
